Hall Closure from 5th January 2021
Following the introduction of the latest national lockdown, we have had to close the Hall to most activities. The only “essential” service is the weekly Post Office service every Thursday. Our overriding priority remains keeping people who use the building safe during the coronavirus pandemic. Once we are able to re-open, the previous arrangements may have to be largely re-applied. These include generally limiting the numbers who can attend functions or classes at any one time, in order to maintain social distancing. We will not hire the two rooms to different groups at the same time.
Whether larger events (of up to 30 people) are possible will depend on the lifting of current restrictions. Please contact the Hall Secretary on 01935-851753 if you are thinking of putting on such an event in the next few months. These measures will be kept under review. Meanwhile, we have installed hand sanitisers, a one-way system, signage and other measures to keep people safe. These take account of:
- a Covid-19 Risk Assessment Trent Memorial Hall
- a new Covid policy and set of procedures
- some Special Conditions of Hire which anyone booking the Hall must accept before their booking can be confirmed
Please have a look at these documents if you are thinking of booking the Hall. They are designed to ensure people using the hall are kept safe and not be too onerous for hirers.
NB: PLEASE NOTE THAT THE POST OFFICE SERVICE WILL CONTINUE TO OPERATE NORMALLY. IT WILL BE OPEN EVERY THURSDAY FROM 10 TILL NOON.
