With a 275 mile symbolic bike ride to commemorate all those who died in the conflict
To mark one hundred years since the end of the Great War a small but intrepid band of local cyclists and their support team are undertaking a 275 mile symbolic bike ride to commemorate all the men and women who died in the conflict.
Our journey will start at the Menin Gate, take in the graves and memorials of the men of Trent who died in France and Belgium and finish at the Trent Memorial Hall, built in their honour.
As well as remembering those who died, our aim is to raise money to help with the refurbishment of the Memorial Hall and for Combat Stress, a charity supporting service men and women and their families suffering the effects of trauma related mental illness. In this way we want to remember the fallen by securing a community facility fit for future generations and support a charity helping people now and into the future.
